Be strong, never give up.

by Joseph Edegwa

Are you on the verge of giving up on a particular
task? Was it because the pain was unbearable? Or you were highly disappointed in the outcome of some events that have ever happened in your life.

You are not alone. A lot of highly successful people have also gone through such but probably you have not heard of their side of the story. Frankly speaking, Giving up is for the weak. In life, if you stay focus and consistently take the necessary steps towards achieving your goals there won’t be GIVE UP mindset.

It all balls down to appropriate planning. Anyone who wants to succeed today has an ultimate goal, and he has to strategize in such a way that his everyday activity is a step forward to achieving what he aspires.

It’s better to have long-term GOAL, yearly, monthly and weekly goals to need to be taken into consideration.

One sad thing about today’s youth is that most of them don’t know the reason why they are doing some activities. Most of them lack direction to the extent that they jump into businesses because it was recommended by a friend. But what thing we all have to not is that “Life is like a soccer field where we are the players. We are each running up and down chasing the ball. One thing is sure and that is the fact that almost everyone is found doing something but not everyone is achieving excellent results. The reason is that many people are playing on a soccer field without goalposts. They are running well, giving excellent passes and crosses but cannot score. What determines the results of a soccer game is the scoreline. If you cannot score, then why are you playing?”– Desmond Edem Eklu.

So, if you are on the verge of giving up on your dreams kindly recall why you started. If you don’t have any special goal then kindly set some for your own good.

Richarlison(a football player) once confessed that he nearly gave up on his dream of becoming a footballer. On the topic, HE said “I don’t have enough fingers to count the number of clubs who rejected me. I was ready to give up football, but I went to Belo Horizonte with just the money for an outward ticket for the last trial I had. If I didn’t make it, I had no money to return home.”

a motivational quote.

You see, he has been rejected several times by many clubs but still, he raised his head up and pursue his dream of becoming a footballer.
Now, Richarlison’s net worth is $55 Million at the age of 22 years old. He earned the money being a Professional Soccer Player. He is from Brazil.

How many times have you been rejected?
Keep your head up and face the storm.

Mostly, We easily give up when we fail but what we must realize is that failure is the ROAD to SUCCESS. I believe failure is part of the process of SUCCESS. The hardy person learns so much during his failure period while the weak give up when he encounters obstacles.

One thing worthy of notice is, If you fail a thousand times and you don’t learn from your failures, you will still die a failure. It takes the right applications of lessons learnt from previous failures to succeed.

Do you know that most seasonal winners failed several times until they succeeded? One of the world deep thinkers is Albert Einstein. Do you know he didn’t speak until age 4? Do you know he failed his entrance exam on an attempt to enter into Swiss Federal Polytechnic School located in Zurich at sixteen-years-old? Do you know he failed as an insurance salesman? The answer to all these questions is YES. His secret was HE NEVER GAVE UP. He kept his eye on what he wanted to achieve in life and the impact he wanted to have in the world.

Henry Ford, the father of automobile’s first company went bankrupt. What then made him the father of Automobile? The answer is HE NEVER GAVE UP. He had a clearer vision as to what he wanted to achieve in life and what he wanted people to recognize him for.

J.K. Rowling is one of the most famous authors in history. As a mother who is trying to look after her daughter, SHE used 7 years to write the story of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone but all the major publishers rejected her book. She did not give up but rather kept her head up until she becomes successful.

Abraham Lincoln lost his job in 1832 and subsequently suffered the death of his sweetheart in 1834. From there, He failed to attain his desired results in life for more than six times before he was elected as the President of the United States of America in 1860.

You can only avoid failure by not involving yourself in anything. That’s by not doing anything.

Mostly when you’re a beginner even if you have the most valuable content in life you are likely to be rejected in any industry than the established ones. For instance, most renowned writers have a large fan base so with a little write-up he tends to get more likes and shares on social media than a beginner with little or no fan base even if you have the most valuable content. Never give up! They were once like you. With consistency and hard work plus continuous learning, things are going to be okay.

One problem with the YOUTH of today is, most people have weak WHY. If you ask most young entrepreneurs they will tell you they are in their field purposely to earn money. With this as your target, you’re going to give up so easily.

Sadly, most people give up when they are very close to achieving their goals. A great example is a story of the football player cited in this write-up.

Let’s say you’re a businessman so you have started Business A(selling business) which many people recommended to you as the best. As a starter, you’re likely to go through a period of hardship for a while because people may not realize that you sell some products until you CONSISTENTLY have it open to costumers. Beside others are already in such businesses, so they have loyal costumers so it won’t be easy to come and overtake them. I mean you have to take all these into consideration if not you will GIVE UP when you’re near to getting many costumers.

Some people move from one business to another with the aim of getting money. My dear if you continue to do this you may take a relatively long period of time to succeed in the business sector. Almost all businesses are like network marketing, the real money is at the highest level so it takes continuous learning from more experienced people and from the lesson you take from your daily activities that will help you to sail through. Be strong! Be Consistent! NEVER GIVE UP!!!

In conclusion, the people you cherish the most, the most renowned people in your industry, your mentor and other successful people have once faced the challenges you have encountered. It’s not new in the system so you have to keep your head up, learn from that moment to make yourself a better person tomorrow. Below are some inspiring quotes from Geniuses of the past century.

“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” –Winston Churchill

“You build on failure. You use it as a steppingstone. Close the door on the past. You don’t try to forget the mistakes, but you don’t dwell on it. You don’t let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space.” –Johnny Cash

“It’s not how far you fall, but how high you bounce that counts.” –Zig Ziglar

“Everything you want is on the other side of fear.” –Jack Canfield

“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” –Robert F. Kennedy

“If you’re not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original.” –Ken Robinson
“An inventor fails 999 times, and if he succeeds once, he’s in. He treats his failures simply as practice shots.” –Charles F. Kettering

Don’t be happy if you’ve not failed in life, it might be that you’ve not started your success journey. Every successful person has once failed.
