Tinubu And Aides Go For Covid-19 Test After Death Of Chief-of-Staff

by Oduse David

Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his personal aides have gone for Coronavirus test after his chief of staff was confirmed dead.

Although, Mr Raheem Lateef a 51 years old CSO to the National Leader of All Progressive Congress, APC was reportedly suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes, however, the cause of his death is yet to be ascertained but as a precautionary measure, the chieftain of the APC and his personal Aides have gone for tests.

As at 25/4/2020, a total of 1182 Coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Nigeria, 35 deaths and 222 recoveries with Lagos leading the pack.

Recently Tinubu who is a chieftain of the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC) recently said that it will be a disservice for the Federal government under Buhari not to share palliatives to Nigerian citizens to meliorate their living conditions during this lockdown.

Tinubu whose critics refer to as the “Lagos landlord” or “godfather of Lagos” due to his political powers and authorities in the state which have seen him being the brain behind all the three governors (Fashola, Ambode and the current one, Sanwo-olu) that have govern the state in the last two decades, last week condoled with the family of Abba Kyari who died of complications from Coronavirus infection a week ago.

As we await the result of Tinubu’s test, we pray that it turn out for good because we don’t want to record another tragic event in the political scene. This is because he is gearing up for the presidential race in 2023 general election.
