The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) reported a whopping 386 new cases of COVID-19 across 20 States yesterday, 8th of May.
In a tweet made through the agency’s official tweeter handle, the agency confirmed ten new deaths due to Coronavirus. This brings the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Nigeria to 117.
The breakdown of the 386 new cases reported according to states include: Lagos- 176, Kano- 65, Katsina- 31, FCT- 20, Borno- 17, Bauchi- 15, Nasarawa- 14, Ogun- 13, Plateau- 10, Oyo- 4, Sokoto- 4, Rivers- 4, Kaduna- 3, Edo- 2, Ebonyi- 2, Ondo- 2, Enugu- 1, Imo- 1, Gombe- 1 and Osun- 1.

As of 8th May, 2020, Nigeria has a total of 3,912 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 679 patients have been discharged and 117 deaths recorded. This brings the total number of active cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria to 3,116.
