Weight, whether the gain or the loss of it, is a very sensitive issue for many people.
How do I lose weight?
How do I gain weight?
These are questions that bother a lot of people. Worrying about your weight and how everyone has an opinion about it is something that has become common over time. It’s either too much or too little. Everybody seems to want to pass a comment on your weight. Regardless of this. No one likes their weight to be criticized by someone else.
‘Look at your cheeks’
‘See your stomach’
‘Your collar bone is showing’
‘You’re too skinny’
‘You’re too fat’
‘Are you eating at all?’
Even though you may smile and try to ignore it, these statements and many others can make you become really unhappy. They can ruin your day. They lower self esteem. They also give a large blow to your self confidence.
Because of these not-so-nice feelings, you start searching for a diet plan. Looking for a certain drug that can aid weight gain/loss. Not bothered about your health, you may use something that may cause trouble in the long run like taking steroids with a variety of side effects. You may start a plan that may leave you malnourished. Whole buying all these substances, you may get scammed out of your money for fake products that are marketed with many false promises. You may even consider surgery or other extreme measures. All of this, in a bid to get faster results. Anything to stop the comments. But the comments may never stop.
The truth is weight gain or weight loss isn’t something that should define you. You should be comfortable in your own skin. Your weight is your business and you can do whatever you want with it. Make whatever decision about it. When it comes to your weight, as long as you’re healthy, the only opinion that matters is yours.
